Davide Ravotti

I am a research associate at the School of Mathematics of the University of Bristol, member of the Dynamical Systems and Ergodic Theory Group.
I have just completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Corinna Ulcigrai.
Here you can find my CV.

Before starting my Ph.D., I have studied some aspects of Algebraic Logic related to Equidistribution Theory.
At the moment, I am interested in dynamical and ergodic properties of some classes of flows, namely locally Hamiltonian flows on compact surfaces, time-changes of nilflows and perturbations of unipotent flows in semisimple Lie groups.

Publications and preprints

  1. Parabolic perturbations of unipotent flows on compact quotients of SL(3,R), preprint arXiv:1711.04821, 2017.
  2. Mixing for suspension flows over skew-translations and time-changes of quasi-abelian filiform nilflows, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, to appear.
  3. Quantitative mixing for locally Hamiltonian flows with saddle loops on compact surfaces, Annales Henri Poincaré, 18(12):3815-3861, 2017.
  4. Measures induced by units, (joint paper with Giovanni Panti), Journal of Symbolic Logic, 78(3):886-910, 2013.
